Rules for loan of records

The rules for the loan of records from the Danish National Archives are valid from 14 October 2016.

When ordering records in the Daisy archive database, please specify when you wish to use them. The desired date of use may be up to 6 months after the order date.

    Ordering records for consultation in the reading room of the repository where they are kept

    • Number per day: 15
    • Total number: 15

    Inter-library loan

    • Number per day: 10
    • Total number: 10
  • The length of the loan period

    General loan period (1st period)

    Ordering records for consultation in the reading room of the repository where they are kept
    15 days from the arrival of the records to the reading room. However, the loan period is one day only for records that are frequently used in the reading room of the units, or are required for the use of other records.

    Inter-library loan
    30 days from shipment of the records from the lending reading room

    Extended loan period (total)

    Ordering of records for consultation in the reading room of the repository where they are kept
    90 day (75 days from the expiry of the first loan period)

    Inter-library loan
    60 days (30 days from the expiry of the first loan period)

    Note
    Loans cannot be renewed if another user has ordered the records.

    Frequently ordered records can only be borrowed for one day at a time, and the loan period cannot be extended.
