Who can borrow records for exhibitions
The Danish National Archives actively participates in exhibition projects and often lends records for exhibitions.
We lend to institutions that:
- have public exhibitions as part of their duties
- have professionally trained personnel that can handle the materials and
- can also offer facilities that are suited for the materials in question
What terms and conditions apply to borrowing records?
The Danish National Archives can only lend records to institutions that fulfil the terms and conditions for borrowing records for exhibitions.
The Danish National Archives reserves the right to reject requests to borrow materials that are too sensitive to be shown at an exhibition.
The terms and conditions for borrowing records for exhibitions, including insurance issues, conservation and security are agreed upon with the person responsible for lending materials.
How do I apply to borrow records for an exhibition?
If your institution wishes to borrow materials for an exhibition, you must fill out the form Application for borrowing records for an exhibition which you can find at the bottom of the page.
Applications must be received by the Danish National Archives at least three months before the materials are to be borrowed.
