Archive search – order here
The Danish National Archives offers, against payment of a fee, to undertake archive searches based on the collections in the archives, including electronic documents. The searches must be defined in detail before archive studies commence.
What is an archive search?
An archive search is typically ordered when the user is unable to come in person to one of the reading rooms of the Danish National Archives.
An archive search can include, inter alia:
- Detailed searches in the Danish National Archives’ database DAISY and in guides, in registers, in lists of deposits and the like with a view to identifying specific archival material (series of cases and specific archives packages)
- Identification of specific cases in search resources such as documents, lists of names and the like
- Finding specific information in documents, including digital documents.
How to order
As a rule you must supply information that can be used as a basis for the search. The order form is at the bottom of the page.
If your order is for commercial purposes, you must also supply your Business Registration number (CVR-nummer).
