The Danish National Archives’ Coronavirus Precautions
The Danish National Archives is closely following the outbreak of COVID-19 and shall act in accordance with official recommendations. As of 12 March, all reading rooms are closed and events cancelled.

All user-facing activities at the Danish National Archives are cancelled and the archives will be closed from 12 March until Monday 13 April.
The situation is liable to change from day to day, so please keep a close eye on the official recommendations at coronasmitte.dk
Reading rooms closed and events cancelled
All four reading rooms will be closed from Thursday 12 March until Monday 13 April. This means that:
- There will be no access to the reading rooms, neither for archive users nor for volunteers.
- All events and user-facing activities due to take place in the period are cancelled.

All of our digital services shall continue to operate as normal. This means that it is still possible to use services such as Arkivalieronline, the transciption portal and digital teaching services from home. You can still contact The Danish National Archives.
In the unlikely event that we experience any operational disruptions or other technical difficulties, we will do everything in our power to fix and restore our digital services as quickly as possible. We hope we can count on your understanding and patience.
